We started with a simple observation: almost everyone has clothes they love but no longer wear—not because they're damaged, but because they no longer fit quite right. Yet finding a skilled tailor, making multiple visits, and trusting someone with valued garments often feels inconvenient and uncertain. We believed there had to be a better way.
By combining expert craftsmanship with doorstep pickup and delivery, AlterHub brings professionalism, convenience, and consistency to an industry that has long remained unorganized. AlterHub was founded by two women brought together by a shared experience and a shared purpose.
Sravanthi, with a background in Law and Human Resources, experienced the frustration of owning beautiful outfits that remained unworn simply because getting them altered was more difficult than it should have been. That everyday problem inspired her vision of creating a trusted, technology-enabled alteration service that brings the tailor to the customer.
Sasmita, a creative professional, writer, artist, and fashion enthusiast, had long enjoyed stitching and altering garments for herself and her family. As life became busier, she too found her wardrobe filling with clothes that needed simple alterations but rarely made it to the tailor. Recognising this as a challenge shared by countless households, she joined AlterHub to help build a solution that is thoughtful, dependable, and customer-first.
Together, they created AlterHub with one goal—to make clothing alterations as convenient and trustworthy as any modern doorstep service.
